TIMELINE
In 1946 the late Mr. Mohammed Hussain Baqer, proprietor of Baqer Furnishings, started the business as a general merchant.

In 1956, the business sprouted into furniture and furnishing lines, and opened a branch on Al Khalifa Road.

In 1958, the furniture and furnishing business was expanded and specialized.

In 1960 the first Baqer Furnishings showrooms were opened on Al Mutanabi Road in Manama. At that time, the biggest commercial showrooms in Bahrain.

In 1960, a branch was established in Doha, Qatar.

In 1971, the construction for new Baqer Furnishings was projected and the foundation was laid.
The construction was completed by mid-1974.
The new showrooms consist of two stories with a total display area of 2,000 square metres.

In 1988-1989, major expansion went underway that doubled the size of the showroom to over 4,000 square metres.

In 2001, Diana Furnishings of Doha completes a total makeover with a new location and brand new look.
